My top voice actor choice this year is Ian Sinclair, though as the year goes on, I might change my mind, I’m going to tell you why Ian is my top choice for 2020!
Ian has been voice acting since 2007 on his first anime called Bamboo Blade. Since 2007 he has grown and sometimes is cast for main characters like Sherlock in Case File nº221: Kabukicho and Saichi Sugimoto in Golden Kamuy.
The reason why Ian has to be my number one at this moment in time is his enthusiasm he brings to his roles such as Sherlock and Brook from One Piece, But also taking on the role of Bokuto from Haikyuu who is such a hard role to play as I love the Japanese voice actor Ryōhei Kimura and in my book makes him pretty awesome!
Eric Vale has been apart of the industry for a very long time and I could not leave him off my top 10 list.
Eric’s career started back in 1999 with his first big role as Trunks in dragon ball for Funimation but I must say this isn’t why I chose him as my number two favourite voice actor.
I must admit the first time I heard Vale’s voice was in Fairy tail as he played Loke, I picked up more of his voice in Fruit Baskets as Yuki soma and One Piece’s Sanj Vinsmoke.
As they are a few of his most famous roles I must say I like his role in bringing Kasper (Jormungand), Nishiki Nishio (Tokyo Ghoul) and Ferid Bathory (Seraph of the end) into light which he does flawlessly.
Anyone that doesn’t know this wonderful man can’t call themselves a lover of anime, whether you like subs better no one can not know who Tatum is.
Michael’s career started back in 2005, when he was scouted by Christopher Bevins for the role of Rikichi in Samuari 7. Since then Tatum has been in numerous shows and came out openly gay and is now engaged to long time partner Brandon McInnis.
Because of this Michael has a brilliant talent of sounding absolutely fabulous in every role he voice acts his notable roles as Sebastian (Black Butler), Scar (Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood) and Kyoya Ootori (Oran Highschool host club).
Tatum always delivers 100% of his roles and I will continue to watch him flourish.
The range of voice no bounds for the next lad, sitting at number four is Clifford Chapin.
Clifford’s career started in 2014 for his first role Keita Tsuwabuki (Good Luck Girl). I honestly knew nothing about him until his big role in My hero Academia as Katsuki Bakugō, which has made him even more popular.
Since then he has starred in Nemours anime even took one step up and became an ADR Director for the famous Darling in the Franxx and got the lead role in Tokyo Ravens as Harutora Tsuchimikado.
Now I know a lot of people would get mad if I didn’t add Christopher Sabat into my top Five.
The man needs no introductions, Christopher started his career back in 1997 with the voice of Vegeta in Dragon Ball, since then Chris has climbed to the top of one of the most respected voice actors in anime alongside co-star Monica Rial who plays his on-screen wife Bulma (dragon ball).
Another man that’s voice cannot be controlled also voices All might In my hero academia who is doing a fabulous job I might add I also love his roles of Alex Louis Armstrong (Fullmetal alchemist), Ayame Soma (fruit basket) and Roronoa Zoro (One Piece).
I must say a couple of years ago I would have totally put Todd in my top five but I’m here to tell you why he’s at number six on my list.
Todd’s career started in 1999 with a minor role Siam and Koza in One piece the leader of the rebel army in Alabasta. Since then Todd’s career took off with the main character Natsu Dragneel from Fairy tail since then he has starred in Soul eater as death the kid who by the way is my favourite idiots of all time.
Todd has suddenly gone off the map in the last two years but will always remain in my heart.
Jason Liebrecht rolling in at number seven, I have been a long time standing fan of his, Last year my best friend went to a con to get his autograph for me because she didn’t know which one he should sign she faced timed me and I got to speak to him, it was the highlight of my year!
Jason’s career started back in 2006 as Train Heartnet in Black cat, Jason has always been one of my favourites for his roles as Main character Hei in Darker than black and Lavi in D.gray-man.
He continues to evolve with his big role as Vulcan (fire force) and Zeke Yager (attack on titan) as for Yato (Noragami) who has to be one of the many characters that have had me in stitches of laughter.
Not many know his name but I certainly do! coming in at number eight is Benjamin Daskin.
Benjamin’s career started in 1990 when he was only 8 years old! the first show he started on was Problem child as Junior Healy, but the role that surprised me was Code Number 1 on Codename: Kids next door which I continuously watched as a child!
Benjamin’s first role in anime was in 2007 on Blood+, his first big role was voicing Sai from Naruto from then he continued raising up the ranks with Joseph Joestar (JoJo’s bizarre adventure) and The seven deadly sins fox sin of greed Ban who is my all-time favorite non-villian.
(honestly his sexy voice is the only reason he is on my list 😛 )
Christopher Bevins in my number 9!
Chris started his career in 2002 as a minor role in Dragon Ball Z as the dog Bee, I can honestly say, Christopher is at number 9 for the lack of roles on his part as most of the time he is an ADR director and is pretty good at it.
The reason why he is here is for his roles Akihiko Tojo (Jormungand), Amata and Apollo (Aquarion) which I have rewatched as many times as I want and Yogi (Karneval) who is so adorable for a badass male performer of the circus. I will continue to love Chris’s voice as he continues to do his job.
Finally at number 10 is no other than Robbie Daymond!
Robbies Carrer started in 2010 but it didn’t pick up until 2014 where he had the fabulous opportunity to star as Mamoru Chiba aka Tuxedo Mask in a long time running anime Sailor moon!
Over the years he has grown to be one of my favourite voice actors to spot in an anime my favourite roles include Gilthunder (seven deadly sins), Chrollo Lucilfer (Hunter x Hunter) and Ren Tsuruga (Skip beat)
Robbie is currently the main character Mori Jin in The God of High school and recently been cast as Megumi Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen.
