My most memorable anime’s for Winter 2021

Hey there, Long time no see huh?

I know for a fact we are still in November but I thought I’d do a couple of blogs talking about the most memorable anime’s I watched this year.

Over the next two months, I will be going through the season one by one, starting with the beginning of the year Winter.

1. Horimiya

Back in January, Horimiya defiantly hit some home truths for me, I defiantly felt a connection to Miyamura and what he felt like growing up (not that I got tattoos and pierced my ears lol)

I thoroughly enjoyed this series and because I liked it so much I’ve read all of the manga volumes too.

2. Dr Stone: Stone Wars

I have now completed both seasons of Dr Stone and Can’t wait for season 3.

As much as I loved this season, Half of it was ridiculous, and the ending was very sad but that’s what makes anime great to watch, the twist and turns leads the Kingdom of Science to Victory!

3. Beastars Season 2

Season 1 was so long ago I had to familiarise this series but I was soo ready for what I got

Tem’s murderer found, a Herbivore becoming the leader of Shishigumi and the blossoming love between Haru and Legoshi.

Beastars season 2 was the greatest gift I got this year with anime.

4. SK8 Infinity

Whether it be in Dub or Sub, this show blew it out of the park this year.

whether it be Adams Voice David Wald (dub) vs Takehito Koyasu (sub) or the relationship between all of the boys is what made Sk8 Infinity great.

I really wished we got more!

Fall 2021 Collection and What I’ll be watching

Fall is slowly coming into view and honestly It’s my favorite season, its when I get to wear jeans and my favorite Jumpers!

But enough with the outfits; we’re here to check out the Fall anime lineup! I’m curious as to how many of the items on my list I’ll really watch, wanna know what’s coming out from October December then head to AniChart

1. Kimetsu no Yaiba: Yuukaku-hen

Release Date: Unconfirmed

Need I say more than I will never miss the second season of Demon slayer!

Not much is known from the season 2 trailer but what we do know, the second season will be centered around the Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui and that this anime will take place just after the film.

2. JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken: Stone Ocean

Release Date: December 2021

JoJo: Stone Ocean Introduces the 21st century Jostar Jolyne Cujoh.

Jolyne is the only female “JoJo” to date, and the daughter of Jotaro Kujo. I strongly advise anyone interested in watching Stone Ocean to first watch JoJo’s Bizzare Adventures because there is a lot of backstory to this anime.

Watching this trailer made me remember why I love this anime in the first place, I’m looking forward to see what this Jostar does to amaze me.

3. Isekai Shoukudou 2

Release Date: October 2nd

Besides my favorite food show which is obviously Shokugeki no Soma, this comes in a close second, I remember watching the first season and falling in love with the light hearted anime I could watch once a week.

Each episode of this show introduced a different character to the Restaurant from another world and it was just so cute to see fantasy characters fall in love with Japanese Cuisine.

I wonder what type of food we will be introduced to this time?

4. Sankaku Mado no Sotogawa wa Yoru

Release Date: October 3rd

WHY IS THIS NOT A YAOI!!! (Rant over haha)

The minute I watched this trailer a while ago, I was drawn in, and it wasn’t because of the storyline or the hot characters but it was the dynamic between the Main characters and this wasn’t categorized as Yaoi (how is that possible).

Putting that aside, I’m really interested in what this anime will bring to the table this Fall.

5. Lupin the 3rd: Part VI

Release Date: October 10th

Lupin the dark horse of anime, It has been running since 1971!

Even longer than Detective Conan.

Tony Oliver is my Lupin voice, and I’m eager to see what Lupin has in store for us this time around. Part 5 was wonderful, and that’s why I’m looking forward to Part 6.

6. Blue Period

Release Date: September 25th

Blue Period is my dark horse this season, not much is known about Blue Period other than it will be releasing on Netflix in 2 days time.

Unfortunately if the first episode isn’t interesting enough I will be dropping it.

7. The way of the House Husband Part 2

Release Date: October 7th

When it comes to the Way of the House Husband, you may either love it or hate it; it demands a very certain taste when it comes to the animation, which is very much in the form of a comic book; reviews say different things by different people.

I absolutely adore this series, and while the fact that each episode is just 15 minutes long and there are only 5 episodes is upsetting, there is something about this anime that I just can’t get enough of.

(Maybe tatsu’s voice actor Kenjirou Tsuda πŸ˜‰ )

Summer 2021 collection and What I’ll be watching

A new season is fast approaching and for a while we have known what will be out this Summer, and I know for a fact us as a community have picked our ones that we really want to watch and here is my list!

1. Vanitas no Carte

Release date: July 3rd

The minute I saw the first trailer for this way back when, I honestly thought it was beautiful and I thought nothing less of Studio BONES who is producing this wonderful anime this summer.

The animation looks beautiful, the story sounds interesting, I am very excited to watch this every week.

2. Tantei wa mou, Shindeiru

Release Date: July 4th

This anime called ‘The detective is already dead’ is being produced by studio ENGI which is relatively new studios that started producing in 2019.

Even though it has an official trailer it has no words or subtitles which makes it more interesting to give a go when it releases soon, I love a good detective anime so I’m looking forward to what this anime will give us.

3. Uramichi Oniisan

Release date: July 6th

This anime is my first wild card of this season, produced by Studio BLANC.

I think I’m more interested in watching this because of the voice cast more than the anime itself, we have some great voices like Hiroshi Kamiya (Levi in Attack on Titan), Ryouhei Kimura (Bokuto in Haikyuu), Mamoru Miyano (Osamu Dazai in Bungo stray dogs) and Yuuichi Nakamura (Gojou in Jujustsu Kaisen).

4. Deatte 5-byou de Battle

Release Date: July 13th

The second wild card this season, produced apparently by 2 studios SynergySP and Vega entertainment. (I’ve never seen this happen before)

There isn’t much known about this anime as there isn’t any subtitles to the trailer yet, unlike The detective is already dead, this trailer has got speaking in it but if you don’t know Japanese it just sounds like a bunch of words.

I’m interested in what this anime will give.

5. Mahouka Koukou no Yuutousei

Release Date: July 3rd

Irregular at magic high school has always been a top anime for me, Its very special to me and I love re-watching it.

When we got season 2 I was overjoyed and now we get another anime but from Miyuki’s side of season 1 which intrigues me. Yes we got to see a lot of miyuki in the first side of the anime but it was always from Tatsuya’s point of view, I’m really excited to see what Miyuki’s problems were being one of the most talented magicians of her time.

Release Date: July 1st

Scarlet nexus much like Vanitas no Carte is a much watch this season and I’m excites to watch it, this official trailer gives us a sneak peek into the anime and it is another series I will be watching every week instead of building up the episodes until I cant wait anymore.

First Impressions of Fruits Basket S3 EP1

I will in no way try and spoil this first episode since not everyone has been able to watch it yet)

We got a early release of Fruits basket season 3 and I couldn’t be any happier!

Funimation’s ADR Director Caitlin Glass has done a fabulous job with the remake with the returning cast and brand new cast bringing the new characters that we’ve only met in the manga to life.

This season we meet Akito’s mother Ren and flashbacks of Akito’s Father voiced by Katelyn Barr and Chad Cline.

Last season we left of with Kureno and Tohru talking in the park, Tohru wanted Kureno to have a copy of the video of the school play they did, Kureno returns the disk to Tohru staying he couldn’t leave Akito’s side because he was a she.

We learned that Kureno ‘s curse had been broken and because of the past many things kept him by Akito’s side.

Season 3’s episode 1 returns to the Tohru and Kureno scene in the park, they continue there talk continues and Tohru learns more about the curses and Akito’s past.

If your an avid Fruits baskets fan you will know how sensitive Tohru is and the information she is told doesn’t sit right with her, this episode gives you information, there is no real drastic change and that gives the rest of the season to answer the questions you have.

I’m super excited to see what the rest of the season will bring.

My top watches for Winter 2021

It’s already been a week into the Winter anime for 2021. Let’s just say there isnt a lot of anime this season I’m really interested, but here are some titles I will be watching this season

1. Dr Stone: Stone wars

Episodes: Unknown (most propbably either 12 or 24)

Source: Manga

Genres: SCI-FI, Adventure, Shounen

When Doctor stone came out in summer 2019 I was actually quite happy to get a historical anime much like Golden Kamuy but adding science into the mix was very inventive, I am very excited to see the way this season pans out.

I definitely want to see the final showdown of Senkuu vs Tsukasa

2. Horimiya

Episodes: 13

Source: Manga

Genres: Slice of Life, School, Romance Comedy

I was introduced to Horimiya by a anime TickToker who told her follows to watch this, and oh boy im glad I decided to give this a shot, yes only one episode has been released at this current momment but I fell in love with the story and the characters at first sight.

I have also read 24 chapters in a space of a day, I can’t wait to see more of the story animated!

3. Beastars Season 2

Episodes: Unknown

Source: Manga

Genres: Slice of Life, Psychological, Shounen

Oh! man, I’m so excited for this second season. Beastars was a big hit for me last year as it was released on UK Netflix, I think it only took me a day and a half to finish the first season, Many questions were raised at the end of last season and im so excited to see them answered.

4. Log Horizion 3

Episodes: 12

Source: Light Novel

Genres: Action, Game, Adventure

I was so exited when this was announced, I was really unsure whether we would get a third season or not and I’m glad our prayers were answered. It’s been a fairly long time since I watched Log horizon but i am so ready for more ‘Villian in glasses’ action πŸ˜‰
