Anime Discussion: 5 Anime I’m currently watching

Art of Anime here!

As an otaku blogger, I write reviews about anime and manga.

If you’re new to my blog then welcome, and if you’re not thank you for your support and I will continue to do what I love best, writing about anime.

With that all out of the way.

These are the anime’s I’m currently watching at this moment in time 😀

1. Mairimashita! Iruma-kun 2nd Season

I am very conflicted about this show but I wont go into any details (Review coming for the first season very soon)

The first half of the first season I wasn’t too keen on but as we slowly moved into episode 6 and 7 it got real interesting to see the main character in such a different light, not sure where its trying to go but I have some theories.

I will continue to watch Iruma kun just for that one reason…

2. Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu Ω

I watched the first season in dub, and then when season 2 was announced I was so frickin happy

As It can be considered an Isakai and fantasy, I love the inner turmoil of the main character, on the outside he has to be strong to be considered a demon lord from another world, but on the inside he is a timid Japanese male who never made his mark on the world and was a shut in who just liked to play games.

Also could be considered as a small harem but I find it the charm of this great show.

3. Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru

The Detective is already dead. One of my favorite shows this summer.

As it nears its 6th episode this week, I find the plot quite fascinating and I love the humor of the main jaded character.

If you haven’t given this anime a chance yet, please do, it is a show mixed between the present and the past and I have a feeling, more episodes down the line its going to get even more interesting!

4. Boruto: Naruto Next Generations

Every Sunday is a joy watching this show, as the show comes into the final arc (Which I probably have a lot of theories about..)

Boruto Uzumaki is the son of Naruto and I hear on the internet that fans of the Top 3 anime Naruto hate this show, the fact is is nothing compared to the prequel show but In my opinion, I absoutley love this show!

The children are great and it’s actually quite nice to see that Boruto is nothing like his father in terms of power, he is his own person and I respect that so much.

5. Detective Conan

Now, everyone should know by now, If you’ve been reading my posts long enough, I am obsessed with Detective Conan, as of right now I have probably only watched 45% of the 1000th+ episodes it currently has, but I have scoured the internet for the the interesting cases, the important ones (that are directly to the heart of the plot) and the ones I found the most appealing.

Every Saturday since the 1000th episode came out, i have continued watching this series, as I am very interested in seeing what happens next because I have a small feeling (some shit is about to go down!)

And that is it folks! That’s for joining and maybe leave a comment bellow and give some recommendations of anime I could watch next!

Detective Conan’s best cases

So just recently the previous post to this hit 150 views and I thought to myself what made it so popular?

So today I give you some of the best cases of Detective Conan.

Episode 521-523 Murderer!, Shinichi Kudo

Heiji takes Kazuha, Kogoro, Ran, and Conan to East Okuho after receiving a letter from Makoto Okuda addressed to Shinichi.

The letter tells Shinichi to meet with him so he could justify Shinichi’s deduction mistake from his past investigation. Upon arrival, the group discovers that Makoto has been missing for over a year and that everyone hates Shinichi because of this said mistake.

Conan recovering from a nasty cold separates from the group and heads to the meeting place disclosed in the letter and is eventually trapped inside a shed by an unknown culprit. Conan realizes he took the antidote to the APTX 4869 instead of his cold medication and flees through a window, falling into the river before reverting to Shinichi.

When Conan/Shinichi is found, he apparently has lost his memories. The villagers assume Shinichi was cursed by the Shiragami, a forest god, resulting in his amnesia. Heiji finds out from Haibara that is Shinichi retained his amnesia after revering back to Conan in 24 hours, his identity would be revealed.

Heiji discovers that Shinichi was summoned to investigate the mayor’s and his wife’s murders a year ago, which were determined to be a forced double suicide . Misato Kawauchi, a journalist, threatens to expose Shinichi’s secret unless he confesses to faking his amnesia. Kawauchi is discovered with a stab wound the next day, with Shinichi standing behind her holding a knife.

Is Shinichi the Murderer?

Episode 616-621 Holmes’ Revelation

Kogoro, Ran, and Conan come across a cat belonging to a wealthy British woman who agrees to pay for their trip to London so Kogoro can tell her friends about his detective adventures. Haibara gives Conan two antidotes to the APTX 4869 for the trip and the return trip to get past airport screening.

A young boy named Apollo Glass approaches the Sherlock Holmes museum and demands to see Holmes’ Apprentice in order to decipher a code that will prevent a murder. Conan proposes that he solve the puzzle by impersonating Holmes’ Apprentice. Apollo reveals that a mysterious man gave him a note with seven coded riddles and a warning that if they are not solved, someone in London will die. They hear from the cops that a large number of children have received the same code, which Conan interprets as a large number of people would perish. While attempting to decipher the riddles, Conan and Agasa isolate themselves from the rest of the party.

Can Conan, Agasa and the rest of the party solve the puzzles before it is too late?

Episode 669-670 The Dark Tower’s Hidden Treasure

The Detective Boys meet Nanami Kyoudou, whose grandfather, Seitarou Kyoudou is the one who built “The Black Tower”, rumored to have no entrance and treasure hidden within. Later, they visit her house, where Nanami Kyoudou’s mother, Momoe Kyoudou has apparently been pushed off of the Black Tower trying to find the treasure within it.

The Detective Boys explore the building, which is packed with various illusions, even more determined to find an entrance. Ayumi and Haibara need to use the toilet. However, after Haibara instructs Ayumi to proceed, she falls through a secret passageway concealed behind a bathroom mirror. Ayumi immediately informs the boys of Haibara’s disappearance, and they begin an investigation of the restroom; as a result, Conan notices wind coming from the mirror, but is unable to enter the passageway behind it.

Conan is alerted by Mitsuhiko that there is a storeroom next door, and the Detective Boys rush next door to check the storeroom, convinced that there is another entrance. They find two mirrors there: one large one attached to the wall (though it appears to be leaning against it) and the other smaller one on a desk. Ayumi discovers that the smaller mirror is covered in the same strong perfume Momoe Kyoudou is wearing, inadvertently flips the mirror, and the large mirror Conan was investigating slides down to reveal a masking tape-covered entrance.

Can the Detective boys find Haibara, solve the mystery of the tower and how Momoe died from falling from a tower that has no entrance?

Episode 701-704 The Jet-Black Mystery Train

After Haibara’s identity is slowly found out by the black organization (Vermouth who already knows and her new partner Bourbon) the detective boys and party head the jet-black mystery train experience.

The Detective Boys discover that the train normally only runs once a year, but that this year will be different because Jirokichi Suzuki wants to run it a month later in an effort to lure Kaitou Kid out once more. Sonoko also intends to leave her love letter for Kid in the train car, where he will be able to read it. Masumi Sera appears out of nowhere and expresses her interest in the deduction quiz that will take place on the train.

The mystery game begins and the detective boys are on the case while Haibara is trying to keep herself hidden from prying eyes,

When Scar Akai leaves one of the rooms, Haibara, who is slightly behind Conan’s party, follows them half-hardheartedly. Scar Akai, however, who is dressed in a formal outfit, ignores her and continues walking in the opposite direction. Haibara manages to catch a glimpse of him.

Noticing something is wrong with the mystery game that is supposed to be some harmless fun ends up going horribly wrong as a murder takes place.

Can the murder be solved and can Haibara save herself from impending doom as the black organization close in

Shinichi and Ran secretly hope that Ran will give an answer to Shinichi’s love declaration back in London.

She requests Shinichi’s assistance in deciphering a cryptic code written and sent by their late friend Michio Dekuri, who committed suicide a long time ago.
Nishiki, the film’s screenwriter, obtained the code along with red aralia leaves, which are native to Kyoto.

Not even having time to solve the clue Shinichi gets a text from Keiko, telling him to come to them straight away, after arriving with Sera they find Nishiki dead in his hotel room and that blood is splattered over the ceiling, along with footprints, as Shinichi becomes close to becoming Conan again he switches places with Hattori and goes to sleep leaving Masumi to help the police.

In the morning Hattori and Shinichi wake up and head back to the crime scene after finding out something was wrong, when they arrive Agata San is in trouble and when they arrive they see a massive tengu on the ceiling, Agata proceeds to throw his ashtray at it, it bursts into flames and disappears.

How do these cases relate to the Tengu film, Will ran confess to Shinichi, and what awaits the rest of the school trip?

Anime Discussion: Celebrating Detective conan’s 1000 episode

January 8th 1996, Detective Conan (cased closed) was released on screen, this anime has celebrated its 25th year just this year! And as of today It has reached its 1000th episode and as an anime community and it has to a very big achievement.

This April detective conan will release its 24th film that I’m so excited to see once it has its subtitles and is released.

Unfortunately with so many episodes, I have probably only watched 20% of this series but what I have watched is all 23 movies already released, and I think that is a real achievement for me 😉

If anyone isn’t aware of this show ill give you a little synopsis

Shinichi Kudo (in english he was named Jimmy kudo) is a highschool detective in Tokyo, Japan and when on an non official date with his childhood sweetheart when he sees a deal go down between men in black and goes to investigate. He doesn’t see one of the men’s partner come up behind him and knock him out, to keep him from talking he is forced to take a drug to kill him, instead of killing him it shrinks him back into a little boy.

To keep his identity a secret, he adopts the name Conan Edagawa in relation to his love of sherlock holmes and goes to live with his Childhood sweetheart Mori, Ran (Rachel Moore) and her father, whom is a private detective Mori, Kogoro (Richard Moore).

To find the men in black he basically makes Mori, Kogoro a famous detective and in just a short time makes him The great detective even though he’s a lazy drunk.

Since this isn’t a review of this fantastic anime, I won’t give any more details if you want to go and check it out.

This anime has some very interesting characters such as The detective boys Ayumi (amy), Genta (George), Mitsuhiko (mitch) and later on around 130 episodes Ai joins the gang, and she isn’t all that she seems to be, along with Shinichi’s next door neighbour Professor Agasa.

Next we have the other highschool detective but from Osaka Hattori Heji and his childhood sweetheart Kazuha Tomya and both of their fathers are high ranking police offers in Osaka.

We have the many detectives Kogoro, Ran and Conan meet on their many adventures, my favourites have to be Fumimaro Ayanokoji from the Kyoto police department and Sango Yokomizo from the Shizuoka Police District even though Inspector Yokomizo relies too much on Mori’s reasoning and doesn’t really think for himself as for our main Inspector from the Tokyo department Inspector Megure who used to work with Kogoro Mori gets annoyed when he’s there at the scene and basically solves it for them (he basically calls Mori, Kogoro a Shinigami which translates to a bringer of death).

And with this anime being located in Japan because of the nature of the story we have many agencies (FBI, National Police Agency, CIA and MI6) apart from the storyline and produced some fantastic characters such as Shuichi Akai, Jodie Sterling and Rei Fruya.

But even if we have so many beloved characters there is the organisation who tried to Kill Shinichi who take on the names of alcohol to keep their identities a secret the main ones being Gin and Vodka and a little while later we meet Vermouth (and she’s her own blog just on her own haha)

We even gone through half of the fantastic characters in this show including Kaito Kid a famous thief who even has his own show

There are many different cases Detective conan has gone over the years such as

  • The impossible cases
  • Kidnapping cases
  • Blackmailing cases
  • Locked room murders cases
  • Poisoned people cases
  • Attempted murder cases
  • Kaito Kid cases
  • Dying messages cases

and many, many more

If I was given the choice of my favourite cases? Well they’d have to be…

  • Episode 68-70, The Night Baron case
  • Episode 558-561, The Mansion of Death and the Red Wall
  • Episode Episode 779-783, The Scarlet Return

I already have my favourite 5 films here

My 5 Favourite Detective Conan Movies

When an anime goes as long such as this you wonder if it’s actually wondered if it’s worth it to watch it?

I have only watched 20% of the show already, I feel like I’ve accomplished in understanding this anime and the reasons behind the artist’s idea and how much love he’s put into the characters and the story.

At 1000 episodes you wonder if there is anything else left for this show to give?

We’ll I’m not sure, but I am so excited to find out at the moment the manga is at 1047 chapters so were close to the manga, and we wonder what happens if we catch up before more chapters can be released?

Now that’s something to think about 😉

Me here at Art of anime Congradulates everyone who works on this fantastic anime such as voice actors Takayama, Minami who plays conan and Yamaguchi, Kappei who voices Shinichi Kudo (he also voices Ussop in one piece!!). Koyama, Rikiya who took over from voice actor Kamiya, Akira from episode 553 as Mori, Kogoro and Yamazaki, Wakana who voices Ran.

and all of the other voice actors that make this anime great!

The studio TMS Entertainment and the producers Yomiuri Telecasting, Animax, YTV, TMS-Kyokuchi, Shogakukan.

And the creator Gosho Aoyama.

Here’s to the rest of the season!

Magic Kaito 1412

Overall Rating: 9/10

**Quick disclaimer, while im writing this review I feel like it’s more an comparison to his counter show Detective Conan, many apologies**

Episodes: 24

Source: Manga

Genres: Romance, Adventure, Comedy

Premiered: Fall 2014

Just recently I have sort of been obsessed with Detective Conan lately, and one big part of the Detective Conan is Kaito Kid aka Kaito Kuroba.

In 2014, A-1 pictures released a 24 episode series about the mysterious character Kaito Kid that hardly anyone knows anything about.

Without furthur a do, Magic Kaito 1412.

Eight years after the mysterious death of his father, Kaito Kuroba, a slightly mischievous but otherwise ordinary teenager, discovers a shocking secret: the Phantom Thief Kaito Kid—also known as “The Magician Under the Moonlight”—was none other than his own father. The former thief was murdered by a criminal organization seeking a mythical stone called the Pandora Gem, said to shed a tear with the passing of the Valley Comet that comes every ten thousand years. When the tear is consumed, the gem supposedly grants immortality.

Vowing to bring those responsible for his father’s death to justice, Kaito dons the Phantom Thief’s disguise, stealing priceless jewels night after night to find the Pandora Gem before his enemies can use the power for themselves.

[Written by MAL Rewrite]

My Opinion

We’ve seen many appearances of Kaito kid since 1997, many of them episodes being in the pair show Detective Conan. Do we really know much about this Theif? Well that’s where this series comes in!

Compared to the character design we got in the late 90’s Kaito looks more like himself then Shinichi Kudo, and even though Aoko does look similar to Ran Mouri, she also has her own character design.

The series starts off showing how Kaito became Kaito kid and the only reason he does what he does is to the find a Gem before others do, and I like that there is a whole series dedicated to this great character, and we get the back story but It wouldn’t be a great story without the addition of the conan group as from the episodes 16 and 21 and it is nice to see Sonoko’s insane Uncle joining the fray as well.

I am a big fan of this franchise and I have to say I love the side story which is so much different from all the murders I’ve seen solved in the last couple of months, its nice to get something different.

Even though I think this is a fantastic series, It isn’t as top notch as its side series Detective Conan.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Kaito Kuroba is no dout Kaito kid, his childish nature and amazing talent as a magician he is able to become to the thief he is without being caught, as we’ve seen in the conan franchise a child’s mind is better than an adult’s and it definitely shown in this series!

Kaito Kuroba is a 17-year-old boy living in Tokyo, he is the son of the late Toichi Kuroba who was a world renown magician. Kaito become the Theif Kaito kid and let me tell you it was so nice to see the story of Kaito kid and its origins.

I can say for certainty that Katio is well and truly a pervert which adds to his childish nature, there is a scene in the first episode of him checking out what colour underwear Aoko was wearing. But even with this childish nature he is a nice person and hates to see them upset.

Aoko Nakamori is Kaito’s childhood best friend and is the daughter of Inspector Nakamori that we’ve met plenty of times in Detective Conan as he vows to capture kaito kid not knowing he lives RIGHT NEXT DOOR to him.

Aoko Nakamori is very beautiful for 17 and in early years has said to resemble her counter part Ran Mouri.

Unlike Ran, Aoko is more lady like and Plays the piano, and she’s actually very good, she gets embarrassed really easily you can see from the first episode she is teased for having white underware on when Kaito makes her reveal it to the class.

Much to our surprise, she hates Kaito Kid because what he does to her father, and she hates to see him hurt and making him work such long hours.

Jii is Kaito’s friend and used to be his dad’s assistant back in the day, he owns a billiards parlour called the Blue Parrot that doubles as the kid’s secret base and where he gets his inventions, which it is hinted heavily that Professor Agasa invents them but obviously doesn’t know it!

Jii is loyal to the Kuroba family which makes him an excellent ally

Hakauba Saguru is ANOTHER high school detective (honestly how many can japan have!!) unlike our boys Heji and Shinichi he is a total ladies man and he even asks Aoko to go out with them but also in the same sentence making a bet with Kuroba which sounds to me like he didn’t really care if he went or not.

Hakauba splits his time between London and japan and apparently has solved many more cases then Heiji Hattori (Osaka’s high school detective) not that’s actually been proven, in my eyes he’s a bigot and only cares about the fame and glory.

Akako Koizumi is stunnly beautiful and can say rivals that of Aoko and in the valentine’s episode she is adored by all of the boys in her class, she unfortunately can’t charm Katio and gets angry, Akako is actually a witch

In episode 5, it is revealed to her that Kuroba is Kaito kid, but he constantly tells her she’s mistaken despite her cold demeanour she has a softer side, we see her in many episodes going up against kaito.

The organisation are the antagonists of this series more than Hakabua and Akako. The Organisation with no connection to Conan’s Black organisation.

This organisation 8 years ago killed the first Katio kid Toichi Kuroba it seems their main game is to collect the gem called ‘The Pandora gem’ and use it for bad uses, they are seen many times trying to kill Kaito but never succeed, they even go far as to use assassins.

I personally think there less motivated then the black organization which makes them incredibly boring.

The Animation

Rating: 5 out of 5.
Kuroba and Aoko

Magic Kaito was released in 2014 and since we’ve only seen these characters in a secondary role in Detecive, conan being the first appearance back in 1997 (Episode 76 Detective Conan).

The character designs have very much changed as Kaito doesn’t resemble Shinichi all that much as he does in Conan to fool his friends, as this show is pretty much about him and his story. (even though conan and others are in other episodes).

The animation for this is definitely top-notch for the magic that happens to make this series a good one.

The Story

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Kaito Kuroba is a magician that takes after his famous father Toichi Kuroba who died 8 years prior to the story. Kaito attends Ekoda High school in Tokyo with his Childhood best friend Aoko Nakamori.

The story starts right at the beginning of Kaito’s journey as Kaito kid, He discovers that his father was murdered by a mysterious group after a special gem that could also be interpreted as ‘The Phillophers stone’ but was given the name ‘The Pandora gem’.

in episode 4 we meet ANOTHER High school detective and that makes 3-4 high school detectives that i seem that is too over the top and that the Police shouldnt be reliying on them so much.

In episode 5 we meet a woman that can do actual magic, now with the show being about tricks and illusions, it’s strange we get a storyline that magic does exist, it doesn’t make sense to bring that into the story.

Most episodes are the same and some are different. In episode 6 Shinichi finds out about kaito kid but that isn’t the way it’s shown in the partner show, and they seem to be making a lot of different story lines which i do find quite annoying and I wish they would just keep the timelines as one.

The story has many twists and turns and it even ends on an abrupt note and we dont get the full scope of the story and leaves us with more awnsers then questions

My Favourite Episode

Aoko Nakamori’s Birthday!

My favourite episode has to be episode 2!

When I first watched this series, I would have never thought that Aoko could be Inspector Nakamori’s daughter, as the only time I’ve ever seen him was making a total fool of himself trying to capture Kid (kaito)

What is so beautiful about this episode is that he rushes to celebrate the last few minutes of Aoko’s birthday and sets up a display for her on the side of the building right in front of her bedroom window (if that isn’t love what isn’t, am I right? Lol)

My 5 Favourite Detective Conan Movies

So during the Christmas period I did a lot of Conan watching because I absolutely love this anime that has just as many episodes as One Piece and has 23 almost 24 movies.

Sometimes I wonder why has this anime gone on for this long? what was the appeal and I’m going to give you my top 5 favourite Conan movies!

5. Movie 2 The Fourteenth Target

Released: 1998

A mysterious attacker has appeared and is assaulting people whose names contain a number from the standard deck of cards in descending order. When Conan Edogawa points out that all the victims are related to the now famous detective Kogorou Mouri, suspicion immediately falls upon the recently released convict Jou Murakami, as Kogorou was the one responsible for his arrest ten years prior.

With potential victims still at risk, Conan and the police are determined to catch the culprit. As the case gradually unfolds, both Conan and his friend Ran Mouri learn more about her parents’ separation and the truth on what transpired a decade ago.

[Written by MAL Rewrite]

The first 6 movies are in english and I do enjoy these movies. The reason why the Fourteenth Target is at number 5, It was enjoyable to watch and the story was excellently made up and I have watched it a numerous of times and I don’t feel I will get enough of this series, Its just the other movies have the better edge.

4. Movie 3 The Last wizard of the century

Released: 1999

Kaitou Kid dares to challenge the police once more, setting his sights on the Russian Imperial Easter Egg. With the date, time, and place, the Osaka police force scrambles to stop him. But this time, Kid may have bitten off more than he can chew—Conan Edogawa, Heiji Hattori, and numerous others are also trying to get their hands on the jeweled egg.

As the race for possession of the egg escalates, a string of murders threatens those after it, and at the same time the tragic truth behind the Romanov Dynasty is finally revealed. At the center of these developments, it is up to Conan to solve the gruesome murders and catch Kid, all while protecting those close to him and concealing his identity.

[Written by MAL Rewrite]

I really enjoyed this movie! It was the first appearance of Kaito Kid in the Conan movies, and they couldn’t have done a better job, the story behind the last wizard of the century was expertly done to make it a wonderful story despite the murders, this was also a great way to bring Kaito Kid into the mix, and I must say he always makes the story’s a hundard times exciting when people are pulling on each others faces trying to find him.

3. Movie 17 Private Eye in the Distant Sea

Released: 2013

The movie is set on a state-of-the art Aegis vessel with the full cooperation of Japan’s real-life Ministry of Defense and Maritime Self-Defense Force. The corpse of a Self-Defense Force member has been found—minus the left arm—and a spy has infiltrated the Aegis vessel. The heroine Ran is put in jeopardy, and Conan is forced to stand up against the dangerous Spy “X.”

(Source: ANN)

I recently watched this film, let me tell you why this is my number 3. This film reminds me so much of the films that contain story lines around the black organisation. I thought this was an excellent film and it had so many twists and turns I wonder where the creator of Conan comes up with it, I definatly shared a tear when Ran was in danger (even if i knew nothing that bad would happen in the end).

I Really enjoyed being glued to the screen wondering what would happen next.

2. Moive 14 The Lost Ship in the Sky

Released: 2010

One night, the Tokyo National Institute of Microorganisms is attacked by a mysterious organization calling themselves the “Red Siamese Cats.” The group causes the explosion of a high-security lab storing a virus—said to have a mortality rate of 80% with no known cure. This act of terror dominates the headlines, overshadowing the unveiling of the world’s biggest airship developed under Jirokichi Suzuki. Peculiarly, the unveiling has a note attached for Kaito “Kaitou Kid” Kuroba, challenging him to steal the jewel on display—the illustrious Lady Sky.

Conan Edogawa is permitted to board the airship along with Kogorou Mouri, Ran Mouri, Sonoko Suzuki, Professor Agasa, and the Detective Boys. However, their fun comes to a halt when an unknown caller contacts Jirokichi and declares that they have released a certain virus in the smoking room. Soon after, symptoms begin to appear among the passengers and chaos ensues. Seizing the opportunity, the Red Siamese Cats suddenly appear and hijack the airship!

To stop the assailants, Conan and Kaitou Kid, along with their allies, must work together to decipher the clues and discover the Red Siamese Cats’ real objective before time runs out.

[Written by MAL Rewrite]

Now I could say why this was my number 2 favourite but I think the description could say why this movie was an exciting one.

I have seen many Jirokichi Suzuki vs Kaito kid story lines and this was by far the best one, only to throw the bad guys in the mix and you get one hell of a movie!

1. Movie 23 The Fist of Blue Sapphire

Released: 2019

The world’s greatest blue sapphire, the “blue lapis fist”, is said to have sunk in a pirate ship in the late 19th century, off the coasts of Singapore. A local millionaire plots to retrieve it, and when it’s displayed in an exhibition at the Singapore Marina Bay Sands hotel, a murder takes place. A bloody Kaitou Kid announcement card is found in the crime scene.

In the meantime, Kogoro, Ran, and Sonoko have come to Singapore to cheer on the strongest karateka with a streak of 400 consecutive victories, Makoto Kyogoku, who is fighting in a karate tournament held there, Unfortuently Makoto’s sponsor is killed so the Suzuki family sponsors him instead. Conan, who doesn’t have a passport and can’t travel overseas, was supposed to stay at home. He begs for Haibara to give him the antidote for him to transform to Shinichi, but she refuses.

Later that night, while Conan goes out for a walk, Kid, disguised as Ran, sneaks up behind Conan. Conan notices her, but then gets captured. Conan, realizing he is trapped in a suitcase, uses a pen to poke the zipper and he promptly gets out. Looking around, he realizes that he is in Singapore. Conan also realizes his body color got darker.

(sourced by Wiki)

Blue Sapphire was AMAZING! This movie was the first one I watched in Japanese and fell in love all over again, Throwing Kaito Kid (disguised as Kudo), Makoto (who we really don’t get to see much of) and a whole lot of shit going down in one city, It was really cool to see how strong Makoto was and to see what transpires.

My favourite part was Makoto saving Sonoko from the bad guys, some truly amazing animation!
