The 5 Anime’s I’m currently watching

Hey there guys, Art of Anime here and I’m back.. for now at least haha

Even though my list hasn’t changed drastically since the last time I did this, there are 5 anime’s I’m currently watching but there is a difference I still watch Boruto every week and Detective Conan.

So here we go

1. My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! X

I really enjoyed the first season of this show, I think I watched it within half a day during my last Isolation back in September. Season 2 came out and because I loved it so much, I couldn’t wait for the next episode of the dub to come out, so I left the episodes sitting in my files on my laptop.

I think I’m up to episode 10 now so I’m not that far away from the ending, I loved how much I related to Catarina, Loving sweets and just wanted to lounge around and read all day. Jeannie Tirado voices Catarina in the dub and I cannot fault her at all, she plays the role well and I always find myself laughing my head off.

2. Vantias no Carte

I have to admit, I watched the first episode of this and said, Nah

Then I saw it again in English and said to myself, “Zeno Robinson’s Vanitas is flawless!!” Even Noe and Lucius’ voices are precious, and I believe that is what drew me back to this amazing show.

Obviously, the sub must be good to the others as well, but the way I hear the dub being rolled out makes me fall in love with it even more. What irritates me is that the gap between episodes is getting longer.

GIVE ME MORE

3. Tokyo Revengers

This show blew everyone away when it first came out, and I knew I’d enjoy it after finishing Ikebukuro West Gate Park because it had a similar vibe. I started watching the dub because it had around a 15-episode head start, and I have no regrets. I hear voices from time to time, and after a few experiences, I have more questions than answers.

“What is Kisaki’s true motivation?” “What happened on Bloody Halloween?” “Why does Kisaki want to kill Mikey?”

I’m currently watching episode 17 and saving the rest to see how it all ends, and I’ll definitely be reading the manga after season 1 is through.

4. One Piece Dressrossa Arc

People are going to look at this and go, really?!

Yes really. I started watching One Piece in dub since the beginning and I wasn’t about to change now, I do keep up to date with what’s going on.

I know Who Sanji really is, I know the outcome of the big mom arc, I know that there is a new crew member of the straw hats but that doesn’t stop me from loving every single second, Dressrossa is one of the longest arc’s in the anime and I’m loving every single second.

5. The Honor at Magic High School

And Last not least, The Honor at Magic High school.

This series’s partner Irregular has been in my top 5 list for a very long time so when Honor came out, I thought it would be really crap since it’s just season 1 again but with Miyuki as the main focus, and boy was I wrong.

It’s just the little things added that I just love about this spin-off, but unfortunately It still doesn’t change my opinion of Mikyuki Shiba and her brother complex (just ew)

Kid characters I wouldn’t mind having as my little brother/sister

Going through the many anime’s I’ve ever watched, there have been many adorable children characters that I wouldnt mind being the big sister of.

Let’s get into my list shall we?

Anna Kushina

Anna is from the anime K/K Project. Anna is from the Red clan and I must say she is absoutley adorable! She is loved by her family in the Red clan and is extremely loyal to the Previous Red King Mikoto Suho.

With Anna’s lovely snowy white hair, I’d love to have her as my little sister but not just because she is adorable, she’s strong and cares about the people she loves.

Killua and Gon

I have probably watched Hunter x Hunter twice in my life hood and I always stop at the chimera ant arc because I really can’t get into it, but enough of that, I say having Gon as my little brother he’d come as a package deal along with Killua, but to be honest I’d love both of them to have my little brothers as they have always complimented each other as best friends.

Both of them are adorable, strong and I’d also want to help Killua with his past and trust issues because that is what kind of big sister I’d love to be.

Sakura Kinomoto

Sakura from Card Capture is my favorite on this list.

Even though Toya is a fantastic big brother for Sakura, I wouldn’t mind joining the Kinomoto family πŸ˜‰ .

Not only Is Sakura totally adorable, she knows how to bake and cook, I’d wouldn’t mind being taken care of Sakura while ill ❀

Eri

Season 4 of My hero academia took the anime world by storm when they introduced this little cutie, Eri.

My heart exploded when she first smiled at the school festival and when she dressed up as Santa for Christmas. I would have took this adorable girl in, in a heart beat, I would have beaten the shit out of Overhaul myself if I was apart of the my hero fandom.

I would give this little girl anything she wanted and love her to the ends of the earth.

Shippo

I’m working my way through the Inuyasha anime. Yes, there are probably cuter children than Shippo, but I’ve grown very close to the little boy.

Even though Shippo is a demon, he cares about his friends and would do anything to save them, even if it meant he would get hurt in the process.

Anime Discussion: 5 Anime I’m currently watching

Art of Anime here!

As an otaku blogger, I write reviews about anime and manga.

If you’re new to my blog then welcome, and if you’re not thank you for your support and I will continue to do what I love best, writing about anime.

With that all out of the way.

These are the anime’s I’m currently watching at this moment in time πŸ˜€

1. Mairimashita! Iruma-kun 2nd Season

I am very conflicted about this show but I wont go into any details (Review coming for the first season very soon)

The first half of the first season I wasn’t too keen on but as we slowly moved into episode 6 and 7 it got real interesting to see the main character in such a different light, not sure where its trying to go but I have some theories.

I will continue to watch Iruma kun just for that one reason…

2. Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu Ξ©

I watched the first season in dub, and then when season 2 was announced I was so frickin happy

As It can be considered an Isakai and fantasy, I love the inner turmoil of the main character, on the outside he has to be strong to be considered a demon lord from another world, but on the inside he is a timid Japanese male who never made his mark on the world and was a shut in who just liked to play games.

Also could be considered as a small harem but I find it the charm of this great show.

3. Tantei wa Mou, Shindeiru

The Detective is already dead. One of my favorite shows this summer.

As it nears its 6th episode this week, I find the plot quite fascinating and I love the humor of the main jaded character.

If you haven’t given this anime a chance yet, please do, it is a show mixed between the present and the past and I have a feeling, more episodes down the line its going to get even more interesting!

4. Boruto: Naruto Next Generations

Every Sunday is a joy watching this show, as the show comes into the final arc (Which I probably have a lot of theories about..)

Boruto Uzumaki is the son of Naruto and I hear on the internet that fans of the Top 3 anime Naruto hate this show, the fact is is nothing compared to the prequel show but In my opinion, I absoutley love this show!

The children are great and it’s actually quite nice to see that Boruto is nothing like his father in terms of power, he is his own person and I respect that so much.

5. Detective Conan

Now, everyone should know by now, If you’ve been reading my posts long enough, I am obsessed with Detective Conan, as of right now I have probably only watched 45% of the 1000th+ episodes it currently has, but I have scoured the internet for the the interesting cases, the important ones (that are directly to the heart of the plot) and the ones I found the most appealing.

Every Saturday since the 1000th episode came out, i have continued watching this series, as I am very interested in seeing what happens next because I have a small feeling (some shit is about to go down!)

And that is it folks! That’s for joining and maybe leave a comment bellow and give some recommendations of anime I could watch next!

My top 5 favorite MHA Characters

My hero has been climbing the ranks as a great anime and has just entered its 5th season. We all have our favorite characters, here are mine.

5. Twice also known as Jin Bubaigawara

My 5th favorite MHA character is the villain Twice. It was very hard to choose my top 5 as My hero isn’t a big favorite of mine (yes it is very unfortunate).

Twice’s dub voice is Newton Pittman and newton voiced beautiful Gray fullbuster in Fairy Tail, but i chose him for another reason, if you are a manga reader then fantastic if you are not, read on…

I chose Twice because he was willing to risk his life in the heart of the battle he protected and became more than just a villain, I always believed he could have been a true hero if he was put on the right path.

4. Hitoshi Shinso

Shinsou has been the talk of the town since this latest season of him wanting to join the hero course. We first meet him during the UA sports festival as is voiced by the fantastic Jarrod Greene in the English dub.

His power over the years has kept people from liking him, telling him he’d be an awesome villain, but getting to know him a little bit more, he’s a sweet boy and is just misunderstood and If the manga ever gets to the second year for the UA students I think were going to see him a bit more πŸ˜‰

3. Eijiro Kirishima

The only character in 1-A on my top 5 list is Eijiro Kirishima at number 3. Kirishima is very optimistic and is considered apart of the Bakugo Squad with Kaminari, Mina and Sero.

Someone as Optimistic as Kirishima, does have a back story and he very much second guesses himself and he reminds me so much of myself in someway or another.

his catchphrase is obviously “Manly” and I think that is the only thing I would change but he will always be my number 3.

2. Tamaki Amajiki

The introvert of the big 3, my second favorite character has to be no other than Tamaki Amajiki. we first meet him in the last episode of the third season.

In the fourth season we got to see more of this guy as we went into the Shie Hassaikai raid, despite his timid personality hes a really lovely human and defiantly will become one of the top hero’s in the future.

I love this guy and so does everyone else.

1. Mei Hatsume

Mei is my number one and always will be, yes it is true we don’t get to see her that often, we first meet her in season 2’s sports festival and is voiced by Alexis Tipton.

She isn’t a main character but because of her love for support items makes her a fantastic person, she always tries her hardest and never gives up helping people, I think my favorite support item she has made so far has to be Kaminari’s new shooting gear.

She is a very interesting person and I can defiantly see her having her own company in the near future.

My Top 5 Favourite Anime OST

When you get into anime you love the music that comes along with it, I am very varied when it comes to my choices in music but when you hear some phenomenal pieces you know where I am coming from.

here are my top 5 OST’s from music.

5. The Seven deadly sins OST- Hiroyuki Sawano, mpi, Mika Kobayashi

I am a massive fan of Hiroyuki Sawano, most of the music from the seven deadly sins anime I listen to fall asleep, for a very action-packed anime, my favourites of this soundtrack have to be Perfect Time and Eri0ne$.

A lot of people have mixed views of this anime and honestly, I dropped it after a while but that won’t stop me absolutely loving the music that comes with it.

4. Persona5 OST- Shoji Meguro with additional compositions by Toshiki Konishi, Kenichi Tsuchiya, Atsushi Kitajoh and Ryota Kozuka, with vocals by Lyn Inaizumi.

I have played both persona5 and Persona5 royal and I’ve also watched the anime and I love this soundtrack and I love singing to it as well, each song is either compared with the battle that is ahead, you can even get some good music while waiting for the train or just saving in a safe room.

Even though Persona5 was a game first, and then a anime second, I will still love this!

3. K Project OST- Mikio Endo

The K anime is a very underrated anime, the music is a fantastic piece, the music is composed brilliantly and I was very surprised that it was by someone very unknown to me.

Mikio Endo is a very rare gem and If you have the chance you should listen to this soundtrack while falling asleep, you should!

2. Zankyou no Terror OST- Yoko Kanno

If you haven’t heard this soundtrack then go and do so!

Yoko Kanno has done several soundtracks including Ghost in the shell and Genesis of Aquarion but this soundtrack goes hand in hand with such a sad anime.

My favorite songs have to be VON and Dare ka, Umi wo

1. Attack on Titan OST- Hiroyuki Sawano, Mika Kobayashi, Aimee Blackschleger, Cyua, mpi, CASG

and then we have the attack on titan soundtrack that has to be the one that vertebrates with my heart so much just as much as the Zankyou no Terror soundtrack.

Many people can agree with me Hiroyuki Sawano is just a undeniable genius when it comes to composing anime music.

My top 5 Favourite Mecha anime

who doesnt love a good mecha anime!

lets go with my top 5!

5. Kuromokuro

dispite its all fairness as a mecha anime this anime cracked me up the most!

a mix between space, mecha and history this anime is fantasic! but I would have liked if the leading lady wasnt a cry baby, I would have definatly liked to have a strong female lead, Kennosuke is a very werid main character but then again in his situation I think other would be the same.

to be taken out of time and popped somewhere unfamilar would be so werid, but with the fantastic voice acting of the legandary duo Bryce Papenbrook and Cherami Leigh this anime in the dub was a fanstatic sucess.

I enjoyed all 24 episodes of this anime and If we could get a second season, I would definatly watch it!

4. Gundam Iron blood Orphans

Why Iron blood orphans over the other gundam series’s? because this is the only one ive actually seen aha.

Iron blood orpahns was a fantastic addition to my favourites list as a bunch of kids try to act like adults and trying to survive but what society finds out these days that just because your a kid doesnt mean there any less.

Even though there are many deaths in this anime it teaches so many lessons and it honnestly makes me cry, I first got to know Kyle Mcarley for the first time and he works with the other cast fantasically with the adition of voice actors Johnny yong boshe and Cherami Leigh.

the reasons why Iron blood orphans is at number 4 is that I havent had the chance to finish it yet.

3. Aldnoah Zero

Aldnoah Zero you can say is a definate underdog for the mecha franchise but not for me! on top of Hiroyuki Sawano being the music director for this fantasic anime!

Both Max Mittleman and Zach Aguilar do fantastic as the two male leads and I was very supprised to know the voice actor for Slaine is the same voice actor for Tanjiro Kamado (demon slayer) and the fact he is the same age as me! (just a few months older…) its insane! and the fact when the two characters meet in the show they just bounce off each other fantastically.

I am in absolute love with both opening and ending sequences for this fantastic anime, the story is a definite good one and to add a beautiful girl like a princess into the mix makes it even better πŸ˜‰

2. Code Geass

Code Geass is probably among everyone’s lists, it is a 25 episode long anime with 2 seasons which has a very different spin to a general mecha anime. Without spoiling too much for the people that haven’t watched this series, yet there are many reasons why code geass is my number 2

Johnny yong bosch, I have been a big fan of this man’s work for years! When I heard him as the main character, he just brought it to life! Alongside Kate Higins as (CC) and Yuri Lowenthal as (Suzaku), this anime gets so much more exciting because the way their voices work with each other is just marvellous.

2, the storyline is fantastic! the characters are just great and the ending its just so tragic but ends really well, I love the spin offs and the movie that came out in 2019, it also has 2 seasons which is always a plus.

Code geass is always going to be a fan favourite.

1. Aquarion and Aquarion Evol

Aquarion and Aquario n Evol are both 26 episodes long.

They both have similar stories to them as Aquarion is the starting point, Evol is where we end up 12,000 years after the original anime, the stories they have created have muddled into something different but characters have similarities as main characters Amata and Mikono are reancarnations of Apollo and Silvia from the first season.

Why Aquarion is my all time favourite mecha anime above the rest? because its fantasic! the story is well done, and the characters are just brilliantly done.

Christopher bevins who plays both main characters Apollo and Amata made the whole show from his lead everyone who voiced everyone else did great in matching him.

among many reasons, The aquarion is the best in my eyes.

My 5 Favourite Hot Villans

Ladies and Gentlemen let’s give a warm welcome to my favourite Hot Villians in anime πŸ˜‰

Even though I do have a husbando list, but I guess you could say these are my guilty pleasures ❀

So in no particular order!

1. Hisoka Morow

Hisoka has been a fan favourite of mine the minute I got onto the Yorknew city ark in Hunter x Hunter 2011.

With the voices of both Keith Silverstien (dub) and Daisuke Namikawa (sub), Hisoka is the most villainous man to steal my heart.

2. Izaya Orihara

Izaya – Durarara!!

Voiced by Jonny Yong Bosh in the english dub, Izaya stole my heart from being how light-hearted he can be even though he’s a total douche and only cares about the bottom line, something about his childish nature and smart intellect that makes Izaya a part of this band of 5.

Advertisements

3. Dio Brando

If you havent watched JoJo’s bizzare adventures I suggest you do so now!

Dio Brando is a long time villan on this show voiced by Patrick Seitz (English) and Takehito Koyasu (sub) who by the way both do fantastic versions of him!!

This cold-hearted man should be on everyone’s list! He even threw a dog into a furnace, now if that isn’t evil, then what is?!

4. Yoshikage Kira

YoshikageKira – JoJo’s Bizzare Adventures

Yoshikage Kira is an unknown villan to most but I absolutely adore this man! Voiced by Toshiyuki Morikawa (sub) even though now that i listen to him once again his voice is so similar to his Julias Novochrono voice from Black Clover.

This villan is second best to my man Dio in the Jojo franchise, his is a serial killer, a psychopath and has a hand fetish theres nobody that could beat this bad boy πŸ˜‰

Advertisements

5. Chrollo Lucilfer

Chrollo – Hunter x Hunter

Even though Hisoka is my main squeese for Hunter x Hunter, but like JoJo’s bizzare adventure’s I can have two right?!

Voiced by Both Robbie Daymond (dub) and Mamoru Miyano (sub), who could ask for a better villan, than Chrollo, even though at the end of the Yorknew city arc much is left to be seen of his tremendous power that even the Zoldyck family had trouble with back in the day.

5 Underrated anime everyone should watch at least once

1. Log Horizon

Let’s start with Log Horizon!

If you have ever watched sword art online and hated it? Then Log Horizon will definitely get you liking stuck in game animes again.

This light novel anime has 2 seasons and a 3rd one coming in Januauary 2021 and each season is 24-25 episodes long and let me tell you, you wont be disappointed!

When logging into Elder tales after a update, Shiroe, Akatsuki, Naotsugu and friends are now stuck in the avatars and can’t leave the game.

Now stuck in the game Shiroe and his friends must find a way to live in the city of Akihabara and get along with the new and approved NPC’s who now are people of the land with there own thoughts and feelings but also learn of a way to get out of the game.

2. Trinity Blood

Trinity Blood is definatly not given the credit it desveres and everyone should watch this anime at least once.

This light novel anime made its way into animation back in 2005 with 24 episodes.

Following the adventures of Priest Abel Nightroad, who also happens to be a vampire working for the Vatican under a team called The AX Unit, working together with his colleagues to find a way that vampires and humans can coexist with each other but also battle evil who don’t wish that to happen.

3. The Wallflower

If you have never heard of the wallflower yet? well you have now!

This 25 episode anime came to us back in 2006.

If you like a bit of humour with getting scared out of your pants, this is the anime for you. Following Sunako forced to live in a house with four handsome men (aha yeah no πŸ˜‰ ) Sunako unfortunately had a bad rejection from a boy calling her ugly, and she decided she would literally not care what she would look like and would shut herself off forever.

Living with the boys, she goes through the challenges as her aunt tells the boys if they can turn her into a respectable lady their rent would be free, I kid, you not the whole series was spent them crying for their mamma’s and Sunako turning to a small little child.

4. Death Parade

This Orignial anime came out in Winter 2015 and I love the opening for this, “Flyers” by BRADIO makes you get up and dance and I love that in an anime opening.

After death, where is it we go? This anime gives the chance to humans to save their lives by playing games, whether it, be darts that hurt vital organs or bowling that does damages to the heart, you fight a stranger or someone you know for your lives but what if you’re already dead? And someone has to sort out whether you’re going to heaven or hell?

K: Project

This fablous original anime has two seasons a movie and a bunch of OVA’s but It never gets the credit it deserves

The show follows Kings with special powers all with their own colours Makoto Suho (Red King), Reishi Munakata (Blue king) etc, from the first season to the movie to the second season they all have their own story lines but ultimately come into one.

Each King has their own clansmen and their own territory. The Season starts when one of the lieutenants of the red king is killed and all they have to go on is a video with a teenage boy calling himself the colourless king, a battle starts within the city as Mikoto (red) goes on a rampage and Reishi (Blue) has to put a stop to him, but is there more to the story that meets the eye?
